Homeschool Extension Program
Junior/ Senior High classes (Grades 7 - 12)
It is the desire of BCA to assist parents in their God-given responsibility of educating their children, whether they choose a traditional school environment or educate their children at home. BCA’s Homeschool Extension Program (HXP) is for students whose families are committed to homeschooling as an educational choice. They desire to continue to homeschool their children as they enter the post-elementary years, but they desire outside courses to supplement their homeschool curriculum. Homeschool parents remain fully responsible for reporting BCA courses and grades on their homeschool IHIPS and quarterly reports. BCA provides report cards for HXP students but does not provide diplomas or transcripts.
Extension Classes
We are aware of the enormous task of educating a child in all academic areas. We offer our junior and senior high school classes to those who want to supplement their homeschool experience. We offer a wide range of classes, all taught by our qualified, experienced, and caring faculty. Classes are available on a first come, first served basis.
A math placement test is required for those registering for a math or science class. A reading comprehension/language test may be required for those registering for an English or history class. HXP students make take up to two academic classes per semester, plus a gym class if desired. Tentative class schedules will be available in April with final schedules published in May.
