Parent Service Program

BCA is different from other private and Christian schools. We want the family involved in the school and in your child’s education! Not only does this mean a better, well rounded education for your child, it also means:

• Parents get to be involved in their child’s education
• Builds school and community spirit
• Keeps tuition costs down
• Allows individuals to use their gifts and talents to bless others
• Children benefit from seeing their parents use their time and talents in God’s service.

BCA asks each family to contribute 36 hours a year of service to the school. This is equal to only one hour a week. We have many that go above their goals and some families that simply cannot fulfill hours for various reasons. We do allow for an option out of the program, we will bill your tuition an additional $200 in lieu of service. Extended family members are welcome to serve towards the 36 family hours. Because personal safety of all our students is critical to us, we ask for permission from each volunteer for a background check.

Many of you far surpass this minimum in all you do for the church and the school. This policy is intended to encourage all parents toward active involvement in the education program at BCA. Any service that you perform for the school can be credited to the 36 obligation.

We make it easy to get involved - we have several teams you can join. Our teams include:

  • Cafeteria
  • Fundraising
  • Maintenance and Grounds
  • Teachers Aides
  • Marketing and Public Relations
  • Sports Concession
  • Special Events and Community Service
  • Prayer

A Parent Service Program ledger is kept in the School Office for recording hours of service. If you have questions, please contact our Parent Participation Coordinator through the school office.

"I love the Parent Service Program - there aren't many schools where the parents are invited to come in and participate in your child's education. Not only do I feel connected and part of the BCA family, I know I'm making a difference for my child and other students' lives." — BCA parent

If you want to be personally involved in your child's education, this is the school that is perfect! Emphasis on strong academics, parent involvement and volunteering, safe and very loving. It's like a great mix of a homeschooling atmosphere and thinking mixed with Christian schooling in a traditional setting. Wonderful service and positive vibe! Submitted by a parent, GreatSchools.com
